Canvas Dance Collective: Create, Perform, and Share the Magic—Starting 2026!

Canvas Dance Collective (Canvas) is Mapleton Dance Center's (MDC) multi-generational dance company serving students enrolled in our classes (ages 8-18). It's a creative space where dancers rehearse and collaborate to bring original pieces to life, fostering artistry and connection. Dancers rehearse 2 hours weekly (September-May) to explore, create, and refine dances with MDC faculty and guest artists.

All studio classes participate in the annual May concert. Canvas dancers perform in multiple pieces, showcasing their magic at local events, showcases, and daCi conferences (regional, national, and international, such as 2027 Europe or 2028 Chicago).

Audition in September 2026 for the May 2027 premiere—spots limited to 10-20 for intimate collaboration. No additional fee beyond costume (estimated $50-90 for the concert); it's about the thrill of performance and the creative community we build together.
